HELP! DAE Freezes on my G4/400 with PT3

I'm really hoping someone can help me with this. I have a Pro Tools III system that I have just installed in my new PowerMac G4/400/AGP running OS 9.0.2. It consists of one Disk I/O card (Revision QE) and one DSP Farm Card (also Revision QE).

I am using DAE 3.4.2, and DSI 3.4.2 with Pro Tools 4.3 software. My problem is that DAE freezes right after it is launched. It seems to hang up as it is loading the "16-bit optimized mixer" plug-in (I am using version 1.7.2 of that plug-in). The computer totally locks up, there is nothing I can do but press the restart button.

I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of, from changing the order of the cards and placing them in different slots, but to no avail.

I have run DigiTest 3.4 and the cards pass. I did however once see that the Disk I/O card failed with the following error:

"SCSI Suicide Test Error Setting 710 Script RAM"

What does this mean, and could this be the source of the problem? I have also seen DAE errors -7207 and -9204 on occasion.

I used to have these cards installed in my old PowerMac 8500 and they worked FLAWLESSLY. Any ideas as to why DAE is crashing? PLEASE HELP!

Nevermind, I figured it out, although it took a while. It turned out that I didn't have the USB Floppy Enabler extension in my extensions folder! Oh well, there goes 12 hours of head-scratching...at least my system works now!!
