Some free RTAS plugs, without having to use the vst2rtas wrapper:
Free BombFactory
Izotope Vinyl
Elemental Audio Inspector
Sample Tank 2 Free (yep, they have a free version of 2 now)

If you're using the wrapper, there are TONS of free VSTs: check here.

Spkguitar

Have you used the EAI before? Curious how it compares to Waves PAZ. Thanks

Honestly, no I haven't. I insalled it last year sometime, then took a look at it to make sure it works, but I've never had an occasion to use it.

I wouldn't be able to compare it to the PAZ, since I've never used that either.

If its still available I would download sampletank 1 free first before 2, because 1 comes with about 12 free sounds, 2 right now only comes with like 3 I think. But there releasing new sounds every month so if you give it a couple months you should be good to go.

There are 7 samples all together: click tips&tricks, then click #5.

Doesn't look like 1 is still available, though I thought I saw it there yesterday.

Doyle,

The EAS analyzer is far more responsive, has higher resolution, and more toys to play with than PAZ. PAZ on the other hand has that nifty stereo image thingy...I still prefer an oscilloscope for that though...got a nice little vst o-scope wrapped for that.
