athlon XP processor with WIN98SE ?
compatibility documents don't say if it's ok to use an athlon-XP processor for the DIGI 001 on WIN 98SE ...only PIII,PIV, and athlon T-bird ...
does anyone know this for sure ?

i'm using my XP1900+ with PT on win98 and its rock solid... lots of others on this board are as well.

I use an amd athlon XP 1700+ with win98 and winxp (dual boot system) and it works great.

I do! It works great! I have an A7V266-E with an athlon xp 1600. As a matter of fact I just reinstalled win 98 (from ghost) so I could remix a song that uses a Bomb Factory plug. It's a very stable system, but I think I get more out of XP... Make sure you've got the right MOBO and good ram, and a good audio drive, and you should be set!
