Going back to an older version
Hey, guys,
Pretty computer illiterate over here. I'm on PT 11.3 HD Native. I want to try out 11.2.1 again to see if that will help my graphics lagging issues. How do I go back to doing that? Do I have to reinstall plugins, or delete plugins, etc.? Do I have to dig deep in the computer to find everything to revert? My graphics lagging is happening with my mid 2014 15" MBPr w/ i7 2.8GHz, 16 GB RAM, 1TB internal SSD with OSX 10.9.5. I'd like to do more testing to see if I can get this to stop. A little history about my mac too is that it came with Yosemite installed on it, however, you're able to go down to 10.9.5 (at the absolute lowest) if need be, so I did that upon the purchase of this computer because Yosemite was not Avid qualified at the time. However, based on a lot of people's experiences, Yosemite is still causing problems anyway. Could this be causing a problem with my performance because this computer came installed with Yosemite? It's legitimately possible to revert to 10.9.5, so I can't see how, but, any opinions/insight, and hopefully facts can help me get down to this. I've got another couple posts about this (I know.. bad form... new to the forum world..), and I'll be posting my most recent findings with this complete mess of software bad blood. Thanks, guys, Mike. |

Re: Going back to an older version
Just install it right over the current one.
I do it all the time. |

Re: Going back to an older version
Just install 11.2.1, an older version, right over 11.3? Could that cause corrupt files and possible other problems?

Re: Going back to an older version
Doubt it. We never uninstalled any version and as there isn't a unistall feature on the Mac versions just run it and you should be A-OK
