Default VENUE Snake

Hey guys.

Preping my Profile for a gig, and noticed that one of the BNC connectors wasn't looking right. It seems as though last time it was used, the metal ring inside of the connector broke off. I have attached an image. The one in question is the one on the top right.

A connection is made when the connector is connected, and everything seems to be working fine. It seems to me that this is just something that helps the connector go on correctly. From a technical standpoint, is their anything "wrong" with using the bad connector? Thanks for your help.

I don't know if that would technically cause a problem, but considering how easy it is to re-terminate that, I'd be replacing the connector just to be safe...

Hi Ken,

From the looks of it the metal ring is meant to help with alignment of the center conductor, as well as help provide a friction fit (rather than relying on the rotating locking collar). Re-terminate ASAP. It's cheap and easy to do
