my studio monitor speakers aren\'t working..help!
Hey everyone,
my studio monitors aren't working now. They were a couple of days ago just fine. I checked all my connections and everything is connected. I checked my sound ctrl panel and made sure digidesign was selected. And, I have a western digital drive, which is top notch, perfect condition. So what's the deal here? Why no sound? Any ideas? (and no, mute is not turned on) |

Re: my studio monitor speakers aren\'t working..help!
hello, going to need just a little bit more info. to help you determine why they are not working please..
1. what type of Pro Tools rig are you running? (MBox, 002, 002r, 001..etc..) 2. Are your monitors plugged into any other hardware other than your Digi rig? (i.e. mixer, power amp..etc..) 3. Do the monitors have an active amp built in with any form of volume knob, adjustment knob..etc.. and what type of monitors are they? |

Re: my studio monitor speakers aren\'t working..help!
1. I'm running LE 6.4 on the Digi 002 Rack.
2. The monitors are connected to an SLA-1 ART amp, and the digi rack's monitor outputs plug in to the amp. 3. The speakers i don't think have a built in amp..they are alesis monitor one mk2's... |

Re: my studio monitor speakers aren\'t working..help!
Did you hit the MUTE button on the 002? or the Alt Src to MON button? Do you have sound at the headphone out? Have you tested the speakers with another amp or system? Did you try different sessions to rule out something like a muted master fader? Troubleshooting takes time and effort.
