UAD-2 Plugins NOT loading PT9.03

Hello, group
Running Win 7/64 16 gig Ram. SSD OS Drive.. z68 chipset..
Running Pro Tools 9.03. I have two QUAD UAD-2 cards.
which load perfectly with Cubase 6 and Sonar X1.
Problem is with PT9.. reloaded the UAD6.0 software.. "looks" like
the RTAS plugs install correctly.. BUT when in PT9 if i try to insert
a RTAS UAD PLUG IN. i only get the control "Frame" but not the GUI
plugin.. they all show up in the list of available plugins.. but will not load.

anyone ideas? contacted UAD and did their required installation.. 3x's
they said at this point it is a AVID/Protools Issue..
please help.

I have had this happen to me a handful of times. . . . . fortunately a reinstall always fix the issue. Mac Pro OSX 10.6.6 PT 9.03

I'll give it a try.. thank you LesPaul for your details.. What i'm doing is a complete UNinstallation of both Pro Tools 9 and UAD-2..then NEW install. hope this helps.. along with your suggestions for adjusting the core count..

I as well have NO issues with SONAR X1 or Cubase 6.

OF course i wish that UAD and ProTools will just go true 64bit. program and plugins. I think we all know its coming down the pike, but for now it is slowing the work flow down.. I run alot of Kontakt samplers and always run into memory issues.. even though i have 16gig DDR3.

I run Win 7 64.. but run 32 bit apps. because of the 32/64 bridge..the cpu meter is always working harder than need be.

did a complete uninstall of both UAD-2 and protools 9. Reinstalled both clean.. and now they work.. yes! now tweaking the RTAS processor count.. any ideas about Hyper treading.. and core count.. what is the best performance settings? should i use HP..?

running a gigabyte z68 MB.. with SSD os drive.. 16gig DDR3. SATA record drives.

bummer.. back to square one. again.. played around yesterday to get the I/O buffers set.. was pretty happy with 20-30% CPU with whole list of UAD-2 plugs mixed in with native RTAS plugs.. fired up system today.. and POOF the UAD plugs don't show up.. again. changed all the suggested tweaks with Core count and buffer size.. NOTHING.. this one's got me stumped.. really like the PRO TOOLS VST's.. great sounds.. but i really need to use the uad stuff along with.. thanks for the help.
