Convert wav. file to MP3

Hey folks I have a voice over Pro tools LE session wav. form that I need to convert to MP3 for emailing purposes.I t is 1 mono trk. with mono master fader.I have bounced it to disk and then tried to take wav. files and import them into itunes but my itune says it cannot make a copy of these files,but that it would keep a record of them...something like that.There was some mention of having the files be stereo interlevered?for itunes to recognize them?,I dont know what that is..Any help will be appreciated much. big

it is an option in the bounce to disk menu. Just bounce to stereo-interleaved 44.1 Khz/16 bit and you'll be fine.

Great I didnt know that was an option in bounce.. Do you think that is why itunes did not allow me to convert to MP3?

The file does NOT need to be stereo to be converted. iTunes will play wav files to, so when you drag it to the iTunes window it just makes a record of that. You have to select (convert to mp3 from the advanced window. You can set the bit rate and mon/stereo from the preferences.
