Windows Vista Home Edition 32 bit & Pro Tools 8.0.1 LE?

Just picked up the Digidesign Eleven Rack with Pro Tools 8.0.1 LE! All my computers are 32 bit Running Vista Home. I can't even get the program to install. I plan to call tech support on Monday but was hoping there was a download to fix this? Any help or advice would be great.

My installation halts here after this message and just plain shuts down the installation process?

I don't know exactly what is causing your problem, but things that I see that could be problematic are all of those USB drives/USB Mem Card readers, etc.

I suggest that you unplug, uninstall, disable all of the USB drive struff and try again. You don't have to unistall the USB controllers.

Another thing that caught my eye is the 1394 controller. If you cannot verify that it has a TI chipset, then turn it off and get a 1394 card with a TI chipset (ex. SIIG 2 or 3 Port).

If you have power management turned on, set it so everything is "Always On".

Disable any anti-virus software that may be running.

Once you get PT to install, you likely will have to do most, if not all, of the Vista tweaks to get PT to run reliably. Digi has posted the Vista tweaks on the DUC.
