ProTools 7.4 crashes in Waves5.0.dll importing a old project

I saw in the Mac Forums that Waves 5.0 doesn't support ProTools 7.4, but Waves lists on their website (http://www.wavesupport.net/Objects/I..._pc_chart.html) that they do support ProTools 7.4 on the PC.

I'm using Windows XP with Waves 5.0 Gold Bundle, ProTools 7.4cs1... trying to import a ProTools 6.x session and it blows up in Waves5.0.dll.

Anyone else having this problem?

I don't have the problem if I create a new ProTools session and I tried several of the the Waves plugins... Possibly an import issue only?

I know this worked in 7.3 as I tested this with the same file - 7.4 crashes right after it displays the "The original disk allocation for this session cannot be used" dialog.

Do you have the latest version of whatever waves plugins you are using?

Have you run the Waves PT7 support updater?

Nope - I omitted this step after re-installing ProTools.

I downloaded PT7Update2.0.exe and that fixed the problem for me.
