Default Importing Quicktime into Protools 6.4 CRASHES PT

I'm working with a 1.85 Dual Processor G5 using OSX 10.3.4, and have recently updated to ProTools 6.4.using the 002LE system. Since the update I am unable to import Quicktime movies into protools. Everytime I do so Protools crashes instantly.

Trashed all Quicktime and Protools preferences
Trashed all Protools data base files
Tried importing various Quicktime movies..same results
Quicktime movies play fine using Quicktime
Logging in as another user...same results
Same results using OSX 10.3.3

Any advice would be helpful...I'm running low on ideas.
