Burst of static before recording...

I get a nasty crackle of static before recording starts with my Toolbox system. Anybody else ever get this? Suggestions?

I got something very similar in my recordings, it had to do with my buffer size setting. When I set it to 1024 or 128 it was fine, but when I record at 512 it gave me a crackle in my recordings.

Thanks but that dosen't seem to be it. I've got a recent card revision and the disk allocation thing is cool.
Upon further exploration I'm thinking its a IRQ thing as the card seems to be sharing one with the USB unit - mind you, the static burst never gets recorded, its just before recording starts. It *is* nasty though.
