Finally upgraded to 5.1.1, but now MIDI's gone wacko!

I just updated (to OS 9.2 from 8.6 as well) and besides other catasrophies, so many settings were lost in the shakeup. While most of it's fixed and back up & running, I still have this dilemma:
In P.T. LE 5.0 I used to be able to hear the midi notes I edit upon clicking with my hand or pencil tool while having an AUDIO track solo-ed. To me this was always a given, and a key feature for me in alot of my work.
Anyone know what happened? What have I neglected to turn on/off? Thanks very much for any help, Dean

Open the Setups>Preferences>MIDI window and enable "Play MIDI Notes With Grabber and Pencil Tools"

Thanks for the reply, Brent. That's the first and obvious (to me anyway) thing to do, but still no workee. The notes DO sound when either nothing is solo-ed or just midi is solo-ed, but NOT when audio is solo-ed...which I WAS able to do in P.T. 5.0.
