cant allocates space

this happens on every project recently. and then resolves itself

I am using destructive record. ( a good work flow for me having to ouput 10 lots in one mix ( stereo and 5.1 version of mix, music, dialog sfx M+E )

I've actually output the whole film. now doing a VFX updates.

Have been punching in all day.. but now the dreaded cant allocates space ( clarify thats setting an in and out then hitting record - not destructive punch )

so I will have to do a 'consolidate ' at the end - then clean up the crap


No dount when this 'work of art' goes thru QC - it shall return with a list,

and insert expletive, the destructive record will work fine again..

Any one have any hints for me?

update.. the 'cant allocate space for recording' message only comes in further up the time line.

So I can punch in before say 30 mins.


The destructive punch pref seems to make no diff.. ( I tried 95 mins etc )

and this isnt destructive punch anyway....
