Default Setting up 192 help

Ok guys i came to the point today where i had to try reamping for the first time. Which tock me a while to sus out but i think it is down to the way my I/O for my 192 is set up. Im hoping that some people here can help me out

My 192 has 16 analog ins (2 cards Fitted), 8 analog outs and 8 digital outs.

All i use are Analog 1-2 as main outs to feed my monitors and analog 3-4 to head my heaphone amp

Ive provided some screen shots to see if this looks ok to everyone. I just feel that ive got it all set up wrong

Thanks in advance DUC'ers

Hi,

I think you would want to use hardware inserts for re-amping.

send out of 5 to guitar head
mic back in on 5
in the inserts setup page simply setup, in and out 5 as an insert for re-amp. then use that insert on the channel with the DI and bus to another channel to record

Then it will work with delay compensation

Thanks Chris

I'm reamping through my Kemper Profiling Amp and people keep talking about SPDIF being the best way to reamp. What do you think ?

Ive noticed in my buss I/O setup i dont have a SPDIF in there???? Im so confussed now been looking and reading articles on the web and most have a SPDIF in there.

I want 16 analog ins, 8 analog outs and a SPDIF in/out but it will only let me have 14 analog ins if i have the SPDIF as an In and out???

Yes, you only get a total of 16 IO per 192. They are pretty cheap on the used market now. Maybe add a second? You can never have too many IO
