Default No Sound Output

Due to matters beyond my control, I was forced to reformt my system drive and start all over again.

In the process, I've lost the ability to monitor any computer system sound through my 001. I've reinstalled all my software, made sure all the right extensions are in place, removed the Digi control panel, and still no go.

I'm running OS 8.6., with 5.1LE on a 256 meg of ram G4 (YIKES).

The following is located in my extensions folder:
Digidesign direct I/O
Digidesign DSP Manager
Digidesign Output Drivers "B"
Digidesign StreamManager
DigiDesign INIT

I have no Digidesign files in the control panel.

I do not have the option to select "Digidesign" in the "Sound Output" section of the Monitors and Sound control panel.

I called Tech Support and the Tech racked his brains trying to figure it out, but no luck.

We must have missed something, as this used to work fine before the big hard drive reformat party. Now I can't get the option to switch between different sound outputs.

Help!

Try reinstalling the Digi control panel. I use 9.1, but this worked for me when I couldn't get sound out from Mac apps through my AMIII card.

Or... try removing the 001 card, restart, shut down, put card back in, restart.
(just a thought)

The funny part is that it used to work just fine before the crash.....I'm not sure what I'm going to do if I can't get this to work. I have to have non-PT audio pass through the 001 in order for my studio operations to work.

Thanks CLanger for the advice.

Well, I tried pulling out the digi interface card and reinstalling it, but it didn't make a difference.

I wonder if OMS has anything to do with it?
