Spectrasonics Revisited
Hello all:
Considering the VST-RTAS adapter, and Spectrasonics plugs, I have been experimenting with Atmosphere and Trilogy. They seem to both work fine when I start a session, however, somewhere later in the session, I start getting the 90xx errors: 'interrupts held off too long...'. Rail and others thought this might be related to RAM. I upgraded from 512 MB to 1024 MB of ram, but unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. Same thing...start up a session, start laying tracks, and then at some point in the session, 90xx errors. The only way to avoid the errors is to increase HW buffer size, but eventually you have to work at 512 or higher, which has obvious lateny issues. It seems that the problem occurs when I swich patches alot. For example, with Atmosphere, I'll load up a patch, play a little while, then explore a new patch (at 256 samples: HW buffer). I can usually get through about 5 patches before the error occurs. Same with Trilogy, but no others. Any ideas? I have a 001, Windows XP with digi recommended settings, asus A7v333 and athlon 2500+, 2 80 GB Western Digital drives (one is master, the other is a slave: both are on the same cable). The system is very stable regarding audio and other VSTs. Gary |
