The 11.3.1 update did address some of the issues with Pro Res, but not all.

I don't understand why anyone in post would jump on every new update that's released.

We are still on 10, and have no problems with Video.

You have a valid point.

In our case, there were some features that had to do with track counts and voices in PT11 that allowed us to improve our internal workflow when compared to PT10.

The ability to embed 16 multi-channel WAV files into Quicktime movies was also beneficial to us for dealing with some of our programming.

We made the update to 11.3.1 due in part to some issues we were having with our S6 consoles and the update to 1.4 WSControl works better under 11.3.1

Also, we were able to do co-installs with our known good version on 11, so we can test this out.

Not to mention, anyone who buys a new Mac Pro has to be on ProTools 11... it's the only version supported beyond Mountain Lion.

S6 is the only reason but I have found a lot of uses for offline bounce.

I co-installed 10 and 11, and on my HDN system, PT11 performance on the audio side is far superior. I was having a great run with the video for about 6 months too. (Enough for me to only install PT11 on my new SSD System drive).
But alas I couldn't resist that shiny 11.3.1 update and the latest BM driver!
Things went downhill very quickly!

Interesting! What version of PT11 and BM driver were ok for video?

I'd like to know that as well, as I've been having consistent problems with runaway video in PT11.3 HD. I have a BM Studio 4K with the latest driver, though I don't even use the BM signal except during ADR sessions. But I haven't noticed any improvement from disabling the Video Engine.

How do you like the S6?
We're outfitting two stages with dual S6 setups.
