I was mixing on my D-command and I happened to reference my mix to a CD. And in order to match levels from the CD player which is a consumer level unit, I have to trim the ST1 input to +10. Then I have to set the Main input (Protools) trim to about -12 in order to get a level with a similalr average. The problem is that when switching to the Main input from ST1, the monitors go BAM for a split second, as if the relay switches faster than the gain change amp.
This is super annoying. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this just mine? Couldn't a very short delay in the switching help this? Would it adversely affect other aspects? I am considering making a level booster for my CD outputs. Any tips here? Thanks Mike |

Hi Mike
Yeah, I found the same thing. It is rather annoying. We may have to find a way to get those -10 outputs up to +4 I think. Kim |

There are internal jumpers for the stereo inputs to switch between +4/-10.

I too searched the D-Control guide and on page 36, I found that the stereo inputs were listed as either +4 dBu or -10 dBV. There was no other reference for how to make the switch. Details would be appreciated.

Yo digi!
Care to chime in here? Looking for an answer to a simple question. Are the Stereo inputs switchable to -10? If so, how??? Thanks. Mike |

I know its not in the manual, but if you remove the top of XMON, there are jumpers right behind the stereo inputs d-sub. Switch the ones you want to -10. I believe J4 is input 1.

Thanks Robin!
BUT wait, digi tells me that if I open the XMON, that I will void my warranty. So, I have to hire a digi authroized service person to come and switch some jumpers? That seems a little unreasonable, don't you think? Mike |
