Default Consolidate Function Causes Crash - Please Help

Hi Guys,

New member here, looking for some help.

Im running PT LE 8.0.1 and, when selecting multiple regions on the same track and using the consolidate function (alt+shift+3) this causes a crash to occur:

"Bus error" in thread "MainThread", at address 0x0"

what does this mean and is there a fix?

Thanks

J

Welcome to the DUC......now,
Can you give LESS info? Spend a little time reading other posts to see the kind of info folks need to help. At the very least, give us:
exact version of Pro Tools(1 point given)
exact version of OS?
Interface?
does it happen in any session or only 1?
If only certain sessions, what might be different about these(different plugins, sample rate, etc)?

Lots to consider

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I thought SysDetails were posted automatically as they ask you to pop em on your profile, but here they are.

MacBook Pro 15"
Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB DDR3 RAM

Protools LE 8 v8.0.1
Digidesign MBox Mini

This seems to happen in multiple sessions - I am trying to merge 3 areas of audio which have cross fades!

All standard pro tools plugins running, apart from EZDrummer being the only 3rd party!

Thanks

James

Try updating to 8.0.5(or at least check the compatibility grid with the link above). Fingers crossed
