Default Latency / Delay

I have just upgraded from an MBOX 2 to a Digi 002 everything is fine except when I try to record vocals. I set the buffer to 128 even 64 with Low Latency monitoring but still hear a delay when recording. I am using the headphone jack from the front of the Digi 002, I would need to hear the vocals in the headphones while recording. I know the fix for the MBOX 2 was to adjust the mix control and mute the track, is there any option or workaround for this with the Digi 002?

Yeah, the 002 does seem to be a step backwards where latency/monitoring is concerned. It might help if you lighten the load on the CPU as much as possible. Even overdub to a stereo stem in a new session and then import into your original session for mixing.

Otherwise, a small external mixer might be the way to go.

Picky ears I guess. I've been using 002(and now 003) for 3 years and never had a complaint or problem running 128 and/or using low latency monitoring(regardless of buffer setting) makes latency a non-issue for many of us users. Whatever step backwards you think this is, it is a giant step forward when it comes to overdubs and punching in.
