Alesis ADAT
I am using an adat as my converter for my 001 setup for more channels (16 in total) but when i arm the channels that i need on the adat the master fader in protools indicates noise (the more channels the more noise) on the idividual channels there is no indication of noise! is this normal? what should i do?

Re: Alesis ADAT
Seems like your either mik pre's or your ADAT is giving up that noise. My guess is on the pre's. Either have a look at your equipment or consider gating everything (which I think of as the worse alternative).
