Re: Cleaning vocal tracks
hello. i dont know if you have tried this or not, but have you tried redrawing the waveform to reduce the "pops" and "thuds"?? thats what i had to do when i made the mistake of not using a good windscreen (pop filter) and the lack of mild compression while tracking. you will soon get the right feel of mic placement distance, mic selection, windscreen, and tracking compression levels if you keep experimenting. its the best source of education out there .... have fun and let me know if you were able to redraw those waveforms.

Re: Cleaning vocal tracks
how to prevent them... avoid sugar, dairy, caffeine; do sip water, herbal teas.
alternatively, leave them in for a bit of character, aren't we cleaning a little too much?
