Default HDMI to Line Level

Hi All..

I need help finding a piece of gear that can take a HDMI signal (PS3) and split it out (Video/Audio) to line level outputs for me to hook up to the Xmon monitoring system.

Here is something I found

http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=9164

but I'm sure I will still need a balancing amp for the RCA connections to the Xmon as I can assume they will not be line level.

So this box is great but is there any other options you can think of? I have yet to see any good home Theatre Amps that will do this for me and to be honest thats not ideal for studio image reasons. but whatever works i guess.

thanks kindly in advance

kd

Kramer has a few boxes that I think might do the trick- like this one:

If you give me a call with some more details I might be able to find exactly what you'd need...

as much as I dislike Gefen it's probably your best bet
I'd recommend the Martinsound BalancerMAX for getting it up to level

That Atlona was discontinued, but there is a replacement:

I think they make good products, better than Gefen. I am off of Gefen, too many bugs and too expensive.

Martin Sound is a good co. with good gear. You can also check out this line level shifter from Ebtech:

The Box from Altona looks perfect

http://www.atlona.com/Atlona-HDMI-Au...D-Support.html

It appears as if it would be line level (Only box not using RCA's). But Can't seem to find out for sure with manual etc. I may call the manufacture.

Thanks for all the help guys and gals

Thanks for all the info...

Everything seems to be non line level which makes sense. The majority of people wanting this box would be for hooking up the HDMI device to a stereo that does not have a HDMI input.

I'm thinking we will have to purchase a line level switcher no mater what choice we go with.

Its unfortunate but....
