Default DANGEROUS! Izotope RX spectral (and others?) -> events disappear

Hello folks,

I've been having weird issues with Izotope RX3 on different machines (both Win and Mac, both PT10 and 11):
Basically two things:
- events that were izotoped (audio suite) were missing after reload
- events on time after an izotope audio suite render are removed and gone

Anybody had this happen before? I cannot find a post on this on the DUC and there are no updates to either PT nor RX3 available. What is happening?

This one has removed a good few hour's work on dialogue editing after reload, as well as killed on of our foley tracks. Very mean.

Just now, I was able to "reproduce" the same thing. I used spectral repair, rendered, and upon changing zoom (I assume -> redrawing the edit window) the events behind the edited one are gone.

Watch out folks...

- Andrew

Wow! That sounds horrible. I have used RX a lot but never had that kind of problem.

Events: Do you mean audioclips?

Yes, audio clips in the timeline.

The sound supervisor I mixed with last month mentioned the "timeline delete" bug, after I had told him about the disappearing audio suited clips.
And tadaa... it stung us a few weeks later.

This just bit me. But I was lucky enough to watch it happen! What I found was if I selected into a clip then to the end, all the audio disappeared on that track. If I made an internal (within the clip boundaries [not including the end]) everything was fine. Not sure if there is another way to avoid (or engage) this.

PT 10.3.8, MAC OS X 10.8.5, RX3 Advanced.

It happened to me yesterday on a DX pre-mix session and I didn't notice it until a long time later. Playlists saved me. I know lots of people rail against them, but the first thing I do when I get a DX session is duplicate the playlist of every track in case I need to wind back from some Audiosuite process. Saved my butt on more than one occasion.

PT 11.2.1, Mac OS 10.8.5, RX4 Advanced.

That sounds terrible, but I've used RX daily, multiple times a day, for years and have never seen that phenomenon. I'm not doubting you, just saying its not universal.

Resurrecting this very old thread as I'm having the same issue with RX 6 Advanced. Doing some audio-suiting and clips are just randomly disappearing next time the session is opened.

Anyone else seeing this???

I ran into this sometimes on a PT11 with RX3 system. Reloading a session and tracks had gaps due to missing clips. The missing clips had gone through spectral repair. I was never able to track the cause of it down, but I suspected it had something to do with audiosuite render settings using ... individual or continues files and maybe a bug in the spectral repair buffer.

Luckily I haven't experienced it in later versions of RX with the round about workflow, but if people are experiencing it in the latest version as well, then maybe its a pro tools bug. If you are able to "recreate" it have you tried changing handle length in Pro Tools settings or disabling it, depending on your render setting?

I've only just discovered it after it happened in two different sessions so I haven't done much experimenting... I'll post any findings!
