Default Can't get any media players to play thru my 003r.

Installed the Helper, but after 8.0,5 update Windows Media player won't connect to the 003r. It hasn't been a problem but I would like to use reference cds. Any tips? I could use another process if any one has a suggestion.
BTW XPpro.
