Default S/PDIF cables?

I would like to add the two channels of S/PDIF input to my rig. Where might I find a S/PDIF to 1/4" cable? Radioshack?

I hate to be the person to tell you this, but spdif does not quite translate to rca, quarter, xlr, or any other analog connection. So even though you will most likely find an rca to quarter inch adapter at radio shack (for 2-4 bux), sadly it wont work. In order to be able to utilize the spdif input on the 001, you have have a device that provides spdif output. Many devices offer spdif in the standard rca looking connectors, but many are now going to optical spdif using light pipe.

I know that the cyber twin, some highend CD players, and many sb live cards provide the rca style spdif (many folks use the midi on the sb live and connect spdif to 001 for click tracks), which you should be able to use. So unless you have something with digital spdif out (redundant but to get the point across), you will be out of luck.

I highly suggest picking up an ART DPS preamp. It is a 2-channel tube preamp with digital outs. You can get one from Musicians Friend along with a s/pdif cable for about $300. It's a great way to add input channels and tube sound. I usually don't suggest products but I really like this preamp. Cannot be beat for the price.
