Digi 002 ( i need major help here)

my digi002's faders for a long time were just slowly inching making a clicking noise to the top of the board for a long time. this would happen for like 1 minute and stop. yesterday when i loaded up pro tools it said it didn't recognize the faders. then later in the day when i was bouncing a track that was 35 minutes long, halfway through it said it didn't recognize the 002 anymore. when i tried to restart it the display was orange and blank. it didn't do anything at all anymore. has this ever happened to anyone? it still won't work and i've downloaded the updates and held rec+display+esc and restarted it and everything. please please tell me something!

Can you enter standalone mode on the 002? If not it may be the power harness problem that some users(myself included) have encountered. This requires a replacement part to fix the problem.

This does sound like the power harness issue we have seen a some 002 units.

Contact tech support at 650-731-6100 to have the replacement power harness sent out to you.

Joel,

How long have you had your 002? There have been MANY reports of failing power harnesses on this forum. I just bought an 002, and keeping my fingers crossed (hard to operate the faders, though) that mine won't have this problem.
