Default Best feeling midi contoller

Anyone have any opinions on either the M Audio Pro88 or the StudioLogic SL880 Pro? I'm looking for a controller with the most realistic graded hammer action under $800.

The studio logic is going to give you a more accurate hammer action. If you're feeling creative, open it up and put half a sinker(fishing sinker) on each joint where you can get more weight. Hot glue it on and enjoy more heavy action.

OR!

If you already own an acoustic piano or a Rhodes, there is a mod you can get to give your weighted piano MIDI output at the simplest level. I put one in my rhodes(mild wood work required) and now I can save alot of space and energy in the studio.

Hey. I like it!
I have a Studiologic SL-990 and it isn't that realistic(for me!)
I might get a bag of sinkers.....

By far the best I've tried are Yamaha weighted keys.
I use a Yamaha P80 now at home which is just great. It doesn't have wheels, so for controllers, I use an M-Audio Oxygen 8 perched on the top.

I would second that opinion. Ive played all and I mean all of the weighted keyboards. Why, because Im a piano player silly and I gots to have real feel. Yamaha has the most accurate in comparison to a real Grand. However, youll be very limited with controller options unless you go with their Motif line. The studiologics feel kinda clunky with a not so balanced response in my opinion. That said, it really depends on your budget. I'm using a Korg Triton Prox which the action isnt too bad. Youll find that FATAR makes a lot of the keybeds for the controllers including Studiologic and Alesis. Yamaha also puts some of their keybeds into Korgs etc. Find what feel good to YOU!!!. Your the one playing it, not me or anyone else here.

I think I mentioned that !
"Youll be very limited with controller options unless you go with their Motif line." It would be great if theyd stick one on them though ! It cant cost that much.
