+1, this was better before... (though I understand what's been added but still)

Are you requesting this to make it easier to pan a stereo track with automation and etc? If so, I would think twice about panning stereo tracks this way. You get so much more flexibility by having two panning knobs.

Plus, some DAW's (such as Logic) pan in weird ways with one knob by just turning up or down the left or right channel which is rarely the way you would want to do it. Doing it this way will completely change the balance of any stereo signal such as piano where you have the lower strings panned left and the higher strings panned right.

I would much rather a plug-in give that option instead of it being standard on every track. Trust me. Stereo panning with one nob is generally not the way you should pan something.

You may think that. But if you're changing the balance of a stereo track, at no point are you ever changing the pan position. A piano hard left with a violin hard right will always stay in their same positions, all you can do with a balance is change their relative level, not their panning position. This is just one of a bazillion reasons why Apple should insert the word "semi" between the words "Logic" and "pro".

my main feature request:

- key command for new playlist/duplicate playlist
(though I have a quickey for that)

- (key)command for selecting muted objects (also midi-notes)

- it should be possible to change length or draw fades of all selected regions

- saveable channelstrip settings

- freeze tracks

- midi cc-reassign, -scaling in realtime

I thought you could already do this in the fade dialogue. What doesn't work in the Fade Dialogue for you?

One for the fade fans:

the fade dialog let's you set auto-fades in milliseconds.

- I wish for a fade in: 'x' ms, and a FADE OUT: 'y' ms.

- in addition to that, I'd like to have a different fade-type for in than I do for out.

+1 for new/dup playlist shortcut (seriously, how long is that gonna be, now?)

- X-Form multi-threaded (for the love of Pete!!)

- it would be great if fades on a track with EA wouldn't bump like they do.

yes, I always do this with the fade dialog if I want to create fades for more than one region in one step

but drawing a fade with the mouse is often easier, cause you see at a glance how long the fades will become, with the fade-dialog I mostly have to try different settings until I get what I wanted

Well, while you can pan a stereo track with ONE pan pot it will never yield the same precision as one has with two separate mono tracks. Or with a Pro Tools style stereo track.

With PT style you basically have two mono tracks ganged into one.

I dont feel like explaining what PAN is or how it works. But if you think you can achieve precision stereo panning with one pan pot I think you should read up on how it works.

Yes, I'd go along with these. Bit anal but I'd like some sort of "curve" dialogue box too - so you could recall exactly the same fade out curve (numerically) on a previous mix, for example, rather than sort of guessing what the curve looked like. Might be on my own on that one though...

I'd like to be able to access a list of all RTAS plug-ins that are in use. At the moment I have too many RTAS plug-ins active but I can't see clearly exactly what's tipping my computer over the edge.
