Mastering with T Racks
I'm working on a project mastering about 60 or so cues for a music library and Im basically just importing track at a time and processing using T-Racks + Waves L2 via Master Fader, simple stuff.
I have the L2 Post T-Racks on the master fader track and bypassed until I get the adjustment that works for me.(Nothing working yet) Only thing is that whatever setting I start from in T-Racks results in terrible clipping. I even turn the output way down on T-Racks and the results im getting are much unpleasant. Please forgive me for sounding noobish but I must be using this plugin incorrectly or I'm missing something. Can anyone kindly shed some light on this? Thanks |

Re: Mastering with T Racks
First off, lose the L2 for a minute. Is it still crappy sounding?
When you bring up T-Racks all the parts are in bypass. Try turning on the EQ first, then Comp, then Limiter, then the last stage with the Sat. There are a lot of gain stages so check out what''s heppening very carefully. Also be sure the signal you are starting with is pretty strong. If it's not, maybe bounce it again with a little 2 bus compression. Get to know T Racks so you can control what it's doing. |
