Default Can not locate digidesign hardware.

I have had issues in the past. A few errors while recording. Now, I can't even get into pro tools. This just started happening. I tried reinstalling drivers to no avail.

Here is a SiSandra report. I know the wireless internet adapter is on. Honestly that has never been an issue, and yes i did disable it to try getting into pro tools.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Default Re: Can not locate digidesign hardware.

Sadly, its pretty amazing how often folks with a Dell have troubles. In any case, turning OFF the wifi should be done until you get things working(then you can turn it back on and see if it hurts). Other things that raise red flags(for me anyway):
Integrated graphics(often a show stopper with Pro Tools)
Your recording drive is firewire which is not supported on Windows 7(if it has USB, try that because USB2 IS supported with Windows 7)

Red face Re: Can not locate digidesign hardware.

Thanks guys.
Actually reinstalled the drivers again and again for the mbox, repaired the pro tools install, and had to re install philharmonik.

WOW.

Yeah i know about the wifi.
The integrated video, whatcha gonna do.... dell.

When i purchased this POS, i actually spoke with someone from avid who remote logged into my computer, they told me everything actually should "should" be fine, he was surprised that it should work because it was a dell, and also not shocked because it was a dell.

During the conversation, he also told me that using the firewire is perfectly fine now. I questioned him and he said that its good to go with Win7. I even followed up with another tech guy and he said the same.

Thanks again for looking out for the guy who has to deal with his dell....
