Convert to Stylus RMX
Is there a way to convert regular WAV or AIF drum loops to RMX file? I got tons of loops but I would love to use them with RMX I am about to purchase.

Re: Convert to Stylus RMX
Well, when you purchase Stylus RMX, you also get the S.A.G.E. converter. This app can convert ReCycle files and Groove Control activated libraries. I don't remember if it supports other file formats.

Re: Convert to Stylus RMX
SAGE Converter supports REX files only. I purchased Recycle just for this purpose, takes some time but works beautifully.

Re: Convert to Stylus RMX
So from WAVE to REX with Recycle and from REX to RMX with SAGE Converter, right?

Re: Convert to Stylus RMX
To add to this thought, you can also make your own Groove-control-ish loops in this manner - program a loop in PT using individual sounds, then slow its tempo down until each sound gets its full decay before the next one sounds, bounce or consolidate this to a new file (of precise bar-length), REX it in Recycle, set its tempo to a sane value and save it. When you import into RMX you can slow it down way more without artifacts...also, to just import your favorite drum sounds, make a (stereo optional) track in PT with all of the individual one-shot samples you want to import to RMX, spaced slightly and ordered so that they appear where you want them to (first sample is C1), consolidate all to one region, open that in recycle, slice it, save it, and import...

Re: Convert to Stylus RMX
You can only access the tutorial at Spectrasonics.net by using your RMX serial number. Drag Midi file to desktop and import into PT, very simple.
