Anyone Using 002R with Logic (succesfully)?

I've been through several versions of OSX (up to the latest Panther), and several versions (it seems) of the Digi Core Audio driver.. and can't seem to get any sort of stability using Logic.
I'm Using Logic Plat. 6.3.3 on a G4 TiBook (667) and currently Pro Tools LE 6.4 along with that associated CoreAudio Driver (6.5x core audio did not work at all..)

Is there anything i could do to better stabilize my system?

Sometimes my Logic session boots right up (with the 002 as the driver) and sometimes it takes close to 30mins(!!) of rebooting / powering down / shutting down / unplugging etc etc. to get some actual work done.

I'd love to hear if anyone is indeed using this config and what the success rate is.

If you're so much in logic, I' get a soundcard that is made for it. Like any of RME's or nuendo's products, and you'll get a sweet life...

I do. Everyday....once a week LAP6.4 lose comunication with 002R. I simply restart 002R only and all is fine....I use 6.4 core driver. I hate 6.5 due to one more icon in a dock

Seems like i'm having a hard time finding that 'magic' combo of restarts / powerdown... to get the 002R back on line.

What version of the OS are you using? 10.3.4?

Tubz.. obviously i can buy more 'stuff'.. but that's not the solution here.
The 002R is not doing very well what it's supposed to, and that's why i'm here...

I've got plenty of soundcards / interfaces, but in this particular situation (at home) it's a huge benefit to have an 'all in one' unit like the 002R.

Is this the version before Logic Pro? The only problem I had is that the core audio manager from digi and the settings in Logic have to be the same in terms of buffer size. But I'm using Logic 6.4.2.

Are you switching between PTools and Logic. Just trying to chase down what steps your taking that might be the cause -since sometimes it works.

Yes Carl.
Logic 6.3.3. is the last version b4 Logic Pro..

I haven't looked at the buffer sizes in Logic vs Pro Tools.

I guess i do go btw LAP and DIGI sometimes.
Don't really give it much thought - as it's SUPPOSED TO WORK...

Maybe i'll start looking into the specifics more carefully.
I've shut down / restarted / turned the computer off for 3 mins, AND powered the 002R down (or not...) / seems like all possible combinations..
No real pattern as far as the success rate.

Just pure CRAPSHOOT. (sorry for the yelling..)

I'd _maybe_ forgive Digi for this if this var Core Audio Driver VERSION 1.0 (years ago) but this is just one more BLATANT F*@#@#G example of DIGI not wanting to "play" with others.
I.e. = as long as you don't (dare) use any of the competition's software.. you'll be ok!
And part of my anger is admitedly directed at myself (albeit in public..) - for making the same mistakes OVER and OVER again.. and expecting different results.
Digidesign is not a team player - and never will be.
That's a fact.
