Default Playing a session faster/slower?

Is there a way to increase or decrease the speed of a WAV track at playback? I assume this would change the pitch, which could be corrected via pitch shifting to offset the speed change.
Is there a plugin to do just that, or even better, a plugin that does both in one?

try the digirack time compression/expansion tool. when PT6 comes out, there will be a TCE trimmer tool...

ok. Thanks. Is that plugin known to be very neutral, or funny things happen? i guess I'll try and decide after listening. I never think of checking out the digirack plugins, my mistake.

Hi Phillippe
The Digirack time thingy isn't great ( at least on stereo mixes ) as it creates artefacts which will definately be unusable ( especially bass frequencies ).
You might have to buy some pretty expensive software to do what you want with audio.
The way I get my tempo right without costing me big bucks is to lay down a click track from Sampletank Free and play in, for instance, a guitar track. If the tempo's wrong, change the click in PTLE using the metronome icon on the transport window and record the guitar track again.
Trial and error, which is unbelievable in this day and age, but other than that you might have to spend bucks for some serious software.
