Default New marker window defaults to selection. :(

Somehow my new marker window after a cold start of Pro Tools defaults to Selection instead of Marker under Time Properties. I really don’t want to trash PT Preferences. Any ideas how to get it back to default to Marker even after closing and reopening Pro Tools?

I’m on PT 2022.12 Running MacOS 13.1. Started while I was on PT 2022.10 with 12.6.1

Check page 921 of Pro Tools Reference Guide, a paragraph copy and pasted below:

Code:
When the Default To Marker option is deselected,
new Memory Locations default to whatever type
was last created. Therefore, if a Selection Memory
Location was created last, it will be the type that is
created during playback. In this case, the name for
the created Memory Location is based on the start
of the Edit selection using the time format for the
Main Time Scale (such as “2|2|305” or
“0:02.658”).
And a bit above:

Code:
1 From the Memory Locations Window menu, select
Default To Marker. This ensures that new
Memory Locations default to being Markers.
