OS requirements for PT 8

I'm getting ready to intall Leopard (finally) and PT 8 HD.

I was just told by the Apple Store salesman that PT HD will not work well beyond 10.5.3. (The Apple Store is also a PT dealer).

I can't find a page here on the Dige site that is specific about OS versions, or any troubles that may be encountered, but I find links to 10.5.5 Combo Updater, so I assume the Apple Store guys are wrong.

Can someone please confirm this.

One more question ....is there any advantage to installing Leopard on a newly formatted disk. (I've already cloned my Tiger drive, with all of it's apps and utilities onto a FW drive). On the same note, any problems installing Leopard over Tiger ....so I can save any apps that may still work ....or will they?

Please advise.

10.5.5 is the only Qualified OS

Better to fresh install Leopard. I had installed over tiger but a few issues so did a fresh Leopard install.

As you have a clone! you are save as you have a back-up of everything that you might need, like presets etc.
