couple new user questions

Guys,

I am new to macs and protools,

(1) Whats the keyboard shortcut to create a new track.

(2)Why does my 003 send the main mix to analog outs 1 and 2 as well as the monitor outs? I want use analog 1 and 2 outputs as my headphone cue mix send.

1) Same as creating a new folder with Finder; Command-Shift-n


(Command and = cues the edit window)

Why would you want your headphone cue mixes to go out of 1&2 when you've got 6 more outputs? I think 1&2 are preset in the unit to mirror the main monitor outputs (at least with the default I/O settings.) To create headphone cue mixes your best bet is to create sends in PT and send them out any 2 outputs of 3-8.
