Notes

Pro Tools has a single audio file size limit of 2048 MB. This equates to about 4.5 hours at 24-bit, 44.1 kHz.
from this Digi OS9 document: http://archive.digidesign.com/compat...rivereqle.html

If you're at 16 bit or bouncing to MP3 there may be something else at work.

yes I did record the 5hr mixes in 16 bit. I am aware that mixes longer than 2 1/2 hrs in 24 bit won't bounce to disk

No such command in OS9. You need a third-party app to do that. Good luck finding something still available... sorry, man!

You can buy/use another drive, format it for OS9 and copy everything from the old one to the new one. That will effectively defrag everything. Just not sure about disk/volume sizes, etc on OS9. Something like a 1TB drive might not be recognized.

k I end up buying a iomega 500gb drive> I transferred my threee 5hr mixes onto it knowing that now since I have a bigger hardrive that there will be now problems bouncing these to disk, but I get the same error message. I was told to export the file since it will take less time, but again the same message. What's the problem now?
