Default shifting from mbox2 to m/audio

Is this worth it and how different is the software to LE?

No DV Toolkit, Complete and Satellite Options, integrated POWR-Dither and Low-Latency Monitoring.

Everything else is the same.

After Digi ended support for the 001, I shifted to M-Powered.
I bought a M-Audio Transit back then and still using it, while Digidesign has phased out the original M-Box meanwhile, and when M-Audio will phase out the Transit I just get the next best M-Audio Interface and continue to work without an itch.

is that worth enough? It was for me.

best

I have been looking into the same thing....I may be able to provide a consolidation of points that I have received from folks..

1. If you have Mbox 2 and LE, and are going to move to M-Powered, you are going to be buying an interface and the software. There are no crossgrades from LE to MP, as far as I know, so you have to add up the amount of the interface + the $250 for software.

2. Many people have let me know that you can actually get much better interfaces for MP than are available for LE. The 2626, which I am VERY interested in, provides 26x26 i/o, supposedly (and subjectively) have better preamps than a 00x, and (again, subjectively speaking) better converters....not bad.

These are the 2 major points I have extracted from asking this question on in a few different places....hope it helps.

If it was not the cost of all that gear, and if I did not have $0 to spend right no, it would a no brainer for me. To be able to have that kind of i/o, that is supposedly better quality, is really good for that price.

If you have the money, go the for 2626 and MP. That would be equal to a 003Rack Plus in terms of i/o, but around $500 less of an investement.

Whether it's worth it is going to depend a lot on your needs. What is your goal in moving?
