Add another MC Mix or MC Control?

Hi, I've got 2 MC Mixes and an MC Transport. I'd like to add another Mc Mix for 8 more faders. But I wonder if there's anything I'm missing by not having an MC Control, and maybe I should get one of those instead.. do you who have both a Mix and a control find anything great about the Control that you can't do on the Mix? Pretty much all my work is stereo music production and I work on Cubase.

If you' re doing a lot of editing the MC control has so much to offer. Take a look at these videos with Luke Smith, specially the second link that talks about "softkeys".

Hi Serge, thanks for the links, really good videos. I can see I could program quite a few of those functions on the transport too, but yeah, there's some plusses to the control touchscreen. I also liked the video he had the hiccups in.

LED, if you are looking at getting a MC Control, I would make sure you buy new from a local dealer. I am on my 3rd V2 MC Control, all have a flickering screen.

Yeah, I ended up with another MC Mix. I can get enough key shortcuts out of the Transport. I could probably fit one more unit in though...
I wonder if the flickering is an issue with them being led screens. There were some problems with some of the imac led screens flickering, particularly when they weren't set to full brightness.

Not sure exactly what the official cause is but I know changing brightness does not resolve it.

Makes me sick, cause I love the unit. Performs well and I have it set up with 4 mixes and transport, but flickering is so annoying!
