Default problems importing I/O bus template

Hi
I`ve spent some time setting up a custom bus template in the I/O setup. It I have basically made names to match my mixing template session that have alot of aux tracks etc.for mixing.
the bus template doesn`t seem to work.

Heres what I do

1. opening the session I`m going to mix.
2. importing session data and my mixing templates with aux tracks etc
3. importing the custom bus template made in the I/O setup

After importingm, everything is just a mess. some buss routings are correct but others have no names and so on.

How is the best way to get the bus template I created exactly right when importing? thanks

Hi,

I do it the other way around! i open a new session from my mixing template which obviously has all my busses and routing in place etc.

Then i import the song with import session data into the new mixing session.

I only import regions and data and the midi map and locators if needed. the new imported tracks default to my mix bus output and any that i want to bus can be done quickly and easily and voila.

I always open a sessions i receive first to check they are all playing ok and everything is labelled and anything unused gets deleted etc, then i know i'm importing the right stuff and only what i need!!
