Default \"Unable to locate digidesign hardware\"

This is a continuation of my other thread in here asking for Mbox drivers.

Anyway, I cant boot Pro Tools because of the unable to locate digidesign error. It all used to work fine but doesnt now (havent used an Mbox on here for a while).

I have tried all my USB Ports. All the lights on the front of the Mbox work fine.

In System Properties the Mbox appears under USB controllers as an Unknown Device.

Ive tried to do a fireware update using MboxFirmwareUpdater.exe but that tells me it can not locate my Mbox either.

Any ideas?

The "drivers" for the mbox are part of the Pro Tools software. You will need to re-install Pro Tools.

You didn't mention (in either thread) which version of the software you are using, so it's kind of difficult to point you in the right direction.

^^ Hey thanks for the advice.

Im running Pro Tools 7.1 here...

I think the Mbox is faulty. Why would all of a sudden the drivers disappear and the Mbox not be found either by ProTools or Firmware updater?
