Is there a way to update all Avid complete plugin bundle at once?

I am pulling the trigger and updating to 2023.9.

Is there a way I can update all these plugins at once or do I have to do them all individually? Or do I even need to update all of them? I notice most have 2022.12 in their name, and Studio reverb has 2018.8 in its name.

When I opened a session in 2023.9 everything came to a screeching halt since I forgot to update a lot my plugins, but want to see if I can speed up this process.

No. It is a license bundle, not an installer bundle.

Unfortunately, you do have to install them all separately. When I moved from WIN to MAC, I discovered that I also needed to re-sync my Ilok so it would quit saying it couldn’t find any of the authorizations.

Avid Connect does make that process a little bit easier thought.

There used to be a combined installer for the Complete Plugin Bundle.

It's retarded that they don't offer that any more. It's a royal PITA tp download and install each plugin separately.

I know some people are reticent to use Avid Link, but I don't have an issue with it. Installation is not exactly difficult.

I also have MacUpdater which lets you know whenever an update comes out for any software on your Mac. Free to try, but you need Pro to look for individual plugins.

It is that some people don't like having an application sitting there using system resources just to check if there is an update.

Loads of installers do that now and it is annoying. I don't want my task bar filled up with 10+ applications that are just sitting there to notify me when an update has been made. Off the top of my head culprits are Avid, Roland Cloud, UA, Adobe.

UA get a special mention for not being able to install *just the plugins you own* without jumping through hoops. ****ty behaviour.

It really isn't necessary to have Avid Link open at startup and use system resources. Simply take this action and then use it as an application when you want to. Best of both worlds, but why don't Avid allow this on a simple checkbox?
