Default upgrade

Hello
To all,
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, with pro tools 8.0.5 and things were going well for the last two weeks, and all of a sudden any audio from an external source seems to be cracking on the high side.
I can get audio from my pro tools sessions that sounds great, but when I get it from another source the sound goes to garbage, I ran the audio from the source to my active speakers and the source is fine, checked all cables and wires.
I did a hard reset on the DIGI 003 and the sound from other sources were fine, and ten minutes into the session the sound went back to garbage.
All things were fine until the new install and upgrade, put those same audio ins and outs on to an MBox and the sound was fine. look forward to hearing someone anyone, that can help.
Thanks..

Sandra report? See the "Help us Help You - READ THIS Before Posting!" link on this page.

What exactly do you mean by "get it from a different source"?. What source? Line? digital? What exactly? Connected over what link to exactly what?

You might want to check your clock on your 003

It would be nice to have another computer to check your 003 on and see if you get the same thing

but you most definitely want to trash your preferences and reinstall your driver for your 003 as a start

But the fact that your mbox will run the session just fine without any problems makes me start to question the 003 interface

Here's a shot also the FireWire cable unless your mbox is a pro version which is FireWire also
