see audio, but no sound in some regions
I tracked my first session in pro tools last week and now that I am mixing I notice a few strange things. In one region I see audio but pro tools plays back silence. I see three waves, and the second wave is silent, plays back everything else. In another region I don't see any waves on a certain part, but I heard audio.I let a few pro tools experts I know look at it and there were clueless. Is this just a glitch in pro tools? anyone else having this problem or is this known issue?

This is a known issue - the solution is to right click on the region and select 'Recalculate Waveform Overview'.
