Default OT - Oxford Restoration Tools

Hey guys, downloading the demo soon but first thought i would throw it out there, what is everyones opinion of the Sony Restoration Tools? Mostly DeNoise. Have been using waves x-noise and am probably about 85% happy with it, does what i need it to do, but since been so far blown away with the sony oxford series (as are most people on these boards too it seems) was wondering what everyones 2 cents was? Uses are post work for location sound and forensic enhancing.

Thanks guys, Matt

I have most of the tools out there...

Nothing is CLEARLY the best, or worse for the record- Even DINR can be the best choice in some moments.

that said, the Sony Restoration package is a fantastic value...

well worth trying

I usually will use it or NONOISE in most cases- though the Sony Package is easier to work with.

There's a NoNoise license for sale on eBay right now for a "buy it now" price of $429.00. It's a very good deal. If you're interested, just do a search for "digidesign hd". It's on the first page, not too far down.

I compared demos recently - Waves and Sony and sadly decided to buy the Waves package.

It was less expensive and did a better job on the poorly recorded and noisey production sound I had. I say sadly because I really wanted to not like the Waves stuff . . . trying not to own any of their stuff anymore.
