They are not allowed to be kids any more, to play , to explore...
It can be stress to be a kid in our days.

Man, when I think back, I had to tape the songs and listen to them carefully, just to find out the guitar riffs...
Today, the kids get everything taught on Youtube... amazing, I wished I had that growing up.
On the other hand I learned to listen
Yeah, I think there's some truth to the over-scheduling thing! When something like a musical instrument is just another activity they have to do....then where's the joy in doing it? When I took up guitar, I had all the time in the world to play, practice, play, listen to tracks, play some more, etc. I scratched up a few records dropping the needle over and over to learn a guitar part (acoustic in my case, but still...)

This might not be a reason for the whole industry, but I find I'm more interested in finding oddball or old guitars lately.. I already have a Strat, Tele and Les Paul. If I had a tonne of money, sure I'd buy different models of each, but with a budget something unique is more likely.

Yes, to buy new guitars can be an endless pursuit!
I stopped, as how many guitars can you play?
There are people I know who own more than 30 guitars???
I am not a collector, I am a player!

Although two years ago I had one custom made (I had always this dream)
