Default EZ Drummer questions

I know we've got a few users here who use EZ Drummer 2. I'm looking at it as a possible replacement for BFD 3.4.x I'm liking the sound of the demo DW kit but the documentation is driving me crazy. Actually it's the lack of documentation because there is no manual for EZ Drummer 2. Looking for basic help on working with MIDI and specifically MIDI mapping. Most of the vi drumwork I have/do is according to General MIDI drum mapping. I find nothing as regards the mapping other than they have a few maps for hardware e-drums like Yamaha and so on. Also can't find anything with being able to change the mapping.

Looking at the manual for Superior Drummer thinking I'd find something that would translate over into EZ Drummer and that comes up empty. As a matter of fact I can't see to see any GM drum mapping in SD! Are my issues related to the demo program or is what I want just not possible?

Got a support ticket in with Toontrack; I'll see how good their support is.

Just a couple of general thoughts:
It's been a few years since I dabbled in the world of midi drums, drum plugins, and midi mapping. But my experience is that manual control of mapping in plugins is seriously lacking. I found that only Addictive Drums let me have the control that I needed. Looked into it a bit again last year, and not much had changed. I don't think EZDrummer offers midi mapping at all. Good luck.

Jack with your skill/experience with MIDI I'd be going straight to Superior Drummer 3. It has modifiable MIDI mapping (see screenshot), I have not had EZDrummer installed in years and don't know what it can do.

Aw shucks. Just wish I had the money to get into SD3. $419 for the initial layout and another $179 for the Death and Darkness lib to get my DW fix.

I know. Sadly since I posted earlier things here at home have taken a dump electronics-wise (Mercury retrograde if you follow astrology) and even my getting EZ Drummer has taken a back seat.
