Unhappy Sudden latency when recording audio

Anyone please help.

Something has suddenly happened to my Digi 003 Rack, OR my LE 8.0.1, OR my iMac.

Suddenly, when recording audio, all the regions end up in the edit window with a latency of 2500 samples. WHY?

Have I changed a setting somewhere, not knowing this will be the effect? Someone please troubleshoot with me, because I don't know where to look to find a solution.

Per B, in Sweden

What Keybeetsss is saying is exactly right: sure sounds like you have plug-ins running on your master fader.

Yep I'll third this. If you've added any plugs to the master fader you're bound to end up with latency issues. Esp if you've added some of the "mastering" type plugs. Some of them add some ridiculous latencies. However when mixing you'll never notice as everything is "delayed". Record with them however and everything gets off.

Sounds like some of your tracks are coming out from a different analog output. Also, Have you check your low latency?

Thanks guys, you were of course right, all of you. I have read about this somewhere before, but forgot it. I had Ozone on my master fader...

Well the reason I know is because I've been there. lol First time it happened I was so confused. I had cut a guitar track to a drum track. It was wayyyyyy off. Tried to line it up manually but never could make it sound right. (My lack of guitar skills probably didn't help.) Kept trying things and nothing worked. Don't even know how I figured out. Probably came here and did some research. So now before I hit record I always look at the master fader.
